Youth Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals (10-13 yrs)

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that emphasizes using technique and leverage to overcome a stronger opponent. BJJ is an excellent martial art for youth because it teaches self-defense, physical fitness, and discipline in a fun and engaging way.

Our beginner Youth BJJ classes are designed to be age-appropriate and fun while still teaching important martial arts skills. The training typically begins with warm-up exercises and stretches, followed by a lesson on techniques, and ends with live rounds or games that reinforce the skills learned in class.

At Warriors' Call BJJ Fundamentals, children learn various techniques such as positions, transitions, submissions, and escapes. They also learn how to control their breathing, improve their balance and coordination, and increase their overall physical fitness. Most importantly it emphasizes the importance of respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Our BJJ training is taught by the UK's Gold Medal Jr. National Champion Emils Podnieks who has a passion for teaching BJJ to children.

Coach Emils ensures that safety is a top priority and that children are learning in a positive and supportive environment. Parents are often encouraged to ask questions to understand their child's training and to reinforce the values taught in class at home.

Overall, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training for youth is an excellent way for children to learn self-defense, improve their physical fitness, and develop important life skills such as discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. It is a fun and engaging activity that can help children develop confidence and a love for martial arts.
